Terms and Conditions – ARG Accountants

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the provision of accounting, bookkeeping, and tax advisory services by ARG Accountants (“we”, “us”, “our”) to clients (“you”, “your”). By engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Our Services

ARG Accountants provides professional accounting and tax services, including but not limited to:

• Accounts preparation for sole traders and small businesses

• Self-assessment and corporation tax filing

• VAT compliance and payroll services

• Business planning and financial advice

• Cloud-based and AI-powered accounting solutions

We will perform our services with reasonable skill, care, and in accordance with UK accounting standards and regulations, including our obligations as a member of the Institute of Financial Accountants (IFA, UK).

2. Engagement

• Services commence upon written acceptance of our proposal, quote, or engagement letter.

• Scope, timelines, and fees will be outlined in the engagement letter.

• Any changes to the agreed services must be documented and may incur additional charges.

3. Client Responsibilities

To enable us to provide accurate and timely services, you agree to:

• Provide complete and accurate information and documentation promptly

• Keep your financial records up to date

• Respond to queries and requests for clarification in a timely manner

Failure to provide accurate information may affect the quality of our services and may lead to additional fees.

4. Fees and Payment

• Our fees are based on the complexity of work and time required.

• Payment terms will be specified in the engagement letter or invoice.

• Invoices are due within 14 days unless otherwise agreed.

• Late payments may incur interest at 4% above the Bank of England base rate per annum.

5. Confidentiality and Data Protection

• All information provided to ARG Accountants will be treated confidentially.

• We are registered with the ICO (C1757414) and comply with UK data protection laws.

• Personal and financial data is stored securely and only shared when legally required or to provide services.

6. Limitation of Liability

• We provide services in good faith and with professional care.

• We are insured by Chiswell Insurance, but our liability is limited to the value of the professional fees paid for the service in question.

• We are not liable for losses arising from:

• Inaccurate, incomplete, or late information provided by you

• Decisions made based on advice outside the scope of engagement

7. Termination

• Either party may terminate the engagement in writing with reasonable notice.

• Fees for services rendered up to the termination date are still payable.

• On termination, any client data held will be returned or securely deleted, subject to legal retention requirements.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
